Hexagon Capability Centre India (HCCI), the research and development (R&D) arm of Swedish technology major Hexagon AB, plans to hire around 300-350 people over the next two years and will be acquiring a new space on lease to accommodate these new employees, Hexagon India vice-president Navaneet Mishra said on Monday here.
In fact, the company had consolidated its operations and relocated to a 1,173-seater facility spread over a 2 lakh sft leased space in Hitec City last year. The company currently has over 1,100 people working from this unit and is hence looking for additional space in the Hitec City area.
On the operations side, the company will be focussing on technologies in the area of machine learning and cloud in the coming days, Mishra said.
Globally, HCCI has 3,400 people working in the R&D segment, of which one third are housed in Hyderabad alone, he added.
Mishra pointed out that over the next three to four months, the company’s management is also expected to take a decision on having a permanent campus in the country.
